How to Wrap Oddly shaped gifts During the holidays

When you’re buying for people, sometimes the gifts aren’t that normal. Sometimes, they’re a bit oddly shaped. You may wonder what the best way to handle this would be. Well, you’re about to find out, and here are a few ways to make wrapping it the easiest it can be, despite the odd shapes.

Don’t Use a Box

This is actually something that’s good for those packages that can be standalone without boxes. This is great for those packages that don’t have good dimensions for any sort of box. What you need is the following:

  • Wrapping paper

  • Tape, especially double-sided tape if you want to hide the job

  • A hole punch

  • Ribbon

  • Scissors

To do this, follow these instructions:

  1. First, cut the paper aa few inches larger than the current item that you have

  2. Create a tube and put the gift within the aper. Once it’s in there, seal this with some tape.

  3. Fold a side of this, and then fold the other side over the edges so that they’re hidden. Fasten all of this with the tape.

  4. Continue to repeat this until you’re done.

  5. Puncture one end with the hole punch. Try to go for two on thee side.

  6. Put a ribbon through this, and then tie it into a bow!

  7. You can repeat this on the other side to make sure that it holds itself.

Use cylinders

Some people like to use cylinders in order to wrap weird things. Mailing tubes actually work well, and you can add some crinkle paper inside in order to protect this. The mailing tubes are a wonderful way to protect and wrap different items including ornaments, cups, and other items which tend to be quite fragile.

Use Tissue Paper

Tissue paper is something that's great if you’re looking to wrap stuff in ways that are not as unflattering. This is also good for those jobs that do require a little bit of flexibility when wrapping. They also are good for those that don’t require a ton of material, so that if there are odd creases, it actually is much less too. What you do is wrap this item within the tissue paper, and then, try to use either double or triple layers to protect this. You can make this even fancier by using colored paper too!

Gift boxes

Boxes that have lids that are used for gifts are great for those that can’t be wrapped in the normal way. Put crinkle paper or some tissue paper to make it look better, and more padding if it needs protection, and then throw the gift inside.

Put the lid over the top and then add some extra wrapping paper that you normally wouldn’t need to use. This box is also easy to create with different wrapping, and you can add a ribbon or a bow, and this can be a wonderful alternative for a lot of people. They are perfect for those who need this during the holidays.

Consider Bags

Feel like boxes just won’t’ cut it? Expand your horizons with a bag! You can actually have a box with the tissue paper over it, or just put it in a bag. This is also super-fast, and also is considered one of the simplest, but best ways to wrap gifts that are a little bit weird, and the best part, is that there are a ton of different gift bags to use, that are more affordable than ever before for your holiday needs!
